Ecommerce product image size requirements (2026)
Every marketplace has its own image rules. Below are the current recommended product image sizes for the major platforms, with official spec pages linked for verification. Resizo ships a verified preset for each one, so you can hit these dimensions exactly without doing the maths.
- Amazon requires at least 1000 x 1000 px for zoom and recommends 2000 x 2000 px. The main image needs pure white background, the product around 85% of the frame, JPG or PNG, and under 10 MB.
- Shopify recommends square 2048 x 2048 px product images, up to 5000 px and under 20 MB, in PNG, JPG or WebP.
- Etsy wants listing photos at least 2000 px on the longest side, usually 1:1 or 4:3.
- eBay recommends 1600 x 1600 px so zoom is enabled, with 500 px as the minimum longest side.
- Flipkart recommends 1000 x 1000 px catalog images for the Indian marketplace.
- Meesho recommends square 1000 x 1000 px images on pure white background, under 5 MB, with no logos, watermarks or text on the main image.
- Myntra uses a 3:4 portrait ratio: the hero is usually a full-length on-model shot at 1500 x 2000 px on pure white background.
- WooCommerce sizes are theme-dependent, so match the single-product, catalog and gallery thumbnail sizes your WordPress theme registers.
